A community of ideas to celebrate, nuture, and protect our planet for generations to come

Hello world!

I’m excited to get started! But first, a quote that sets the tone for what this blog is all about. It pertains to the task at hand, our role and opportunity for stewardship alongside social and environmental responsibility, to make the world just as good, if not better, for the next generation.

“I long to accomplish a great and noble task,

but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks

as if they were great and noble.” – Helen Keller

I so often feel bogged down by all the options that our lives hold, and compare myself to those who are truly doing great and big things for people or for the planet. It is so important to remember the power of being present, doing what is in front of me, and what I’m able to do each day, everyday. Those days will add up.

Let’s start with doing what we can do to make our homes, our neighborhood, our community, and our world a better place. We must begin by realizing that changes in our daily habits, eating, spending, and attitude have ripple effects that can change the world. That’s what this is all about; the fact that we each have the power to change and shape the world we desire, one that will be just as good, if not better, for generations to come. For that to become reality, it is my view that we must change, but I believe humanity is creative and profound enough to do it, which is where the hope in this story lies! So let’s explore together how others are doing just that, and how we can join them 🙂
